  6. Please note :
    1. The quota for the Distinguished Teaching Awards of full time faculty: In principle, Distinguished Teaching Awards will be presented to 1% of the University’s full-time and project-appointed faculty members. To encourage NTU full-time faculty members to participate in general common courses、service-based courses and courses conducted in English, additional awards will be presented to 0.5% of the faculty members offering said courses.Recipients shall be presented with a certificate of achievement as well as monetary awards and shall be commended publically. 
    2. The quota for the Outstanding Teaching Awards of full time faculty:In principle, Outstanding Teaching Awards will be resented to 9% of the University’s full-time and project-appointed faculty members. To encourage NTU full-time faculty embers to participate in general common courses、service-based courses and courses conducted in English, additional awards will be presented to 4.5% of the faculty members offering said courses.Recipients shall be presented with a certificate of achievement as well as monetary awards and shall be commended publically. 
    3. The quota for the Distinguished Teaching Awards of Part-Time Instructors:In principle, Distinguished Teaching Awards will be presented to 0.5% of the University’s part-time instructors. Recipients shall be presented with a certificate of achievement and shall be commended publically. 
    4. The quota for the Outstanding Teaching Awards of Part-Time Instructors:In principle, Outstanding Teaching Awards will be presented to 4.5% of the University’s part-time instructors. Recipients shall be presented with a certificate of achievement and shall be commended publically. 
    5.  A Distinguished Teaching Award shall be granted for a period of five years. Recipients shall not be recommended again for another five years. There is no limit to the number of Outstanding Teaching Awards per recipient. Faculty members who have received a Distinguished Teaching Award three times or more, and who have received the aforementioned award twice during their tenure as a professor shall be deemed a lifetime Distinguished Teacher and shall no longer be recommended for the award.
