National Taiwan University Course Evaluation Survey Procedure

1. The Procedure is in compliance with the National Taiwan University Guidelines for Establishing Course Evaluation Committee

4. The midterm Online Course Evaluation Survey System is open in the 8th week of semester. The end-of-semester Survey System is open two weeks before the final examination week.

5. Please note:

  1. (a) The aforementioned Guidelines for Establishing Course Evaluation Committee serve as guidelines.
  2. (b) The Curriculum Division of the Office of Academic Affairs will notify all departments and email all students when the Survey System is open. Please log in to myNTU website to fill out the Survey within the timeframe.
  3. (c) Students’ responses and comments are strictly anonymous.
  4. (d) Instructors will be notified via email to view students’ comments online for possible curriculum adjustments upon the closure of the midterm Survey System.
  5. (e) A hard copy of students’ end-of-semester comments will be delivered to each department office and the instructors, after students’ final grades have been submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs. Instructors whose courses receive less-than-ideal ratings will be advised by the heads of departments to improve their courses, and improvement plans should be submitted to Vice President for Academic Affairs for review. Such courses will be put on record and tracked for further improvement by the Curriculum Division.

6. Procedure:

(a) Midterm course evaluation:

The Curriculum Division issues reminders about the Survey online and via email. Students are asked to fill in the Survey within the timeframe through myNTU.

The midterm Survey System is open in the 8th week of semester for 2 weeks.

Instructors are notified via email to view students’ comments online after the closure of the Survey System.

(b) End-of-semester course evaluation:

The Curriculum Division issues reminders about the Survey online and via email. Students are asked to fill in the Survey within the timeframe through myNTU.

The end-of-semester Survey System is open two weeks before the final examination week for two weeks.

The Office of Academic Affairs compiles and statistically analyzes students’ responses upon closure of the System.

The results are delivered in hard copy to all College Deans for review.

The results are delivered to department heads and to instructors after the instructors have submitted students’ final grades to the Office of Academic Affairs.

Course improvement plans are submitted by the departments to Vice President of Academic Affairs for review.
